So, August is here, and I’m starting the month with gratitude — not the type people mention casually, like “write down three things you’re grateful for” and move on. No. I’m talking about the kind of gratitude that floods your system, shifts your frequency, and opens your eyes to just how profoundly blessed you already are.
I’m diving deep into the energy of gratitude — because it’s one of the most potent, magnetic, and life-altering energies out there. When you truly sit in it, let it wash over you, let it take root in your body… it changes everything.
Today, I did the exercise — not out of obligation, but out of alignment. And like always, I was blown away by how this energy comes back to you tenfold when you’re knee-deep in it.
In my culture, when we hear news that shakes us — good or bad — we often whisper a saying that acknowledges God’s power and reminds us to surrender to His will. That surrender, that reverence, is what I felt today.
I woke up with a full heart. I woke up. My body worked. My mind worked. I had clean, running water. I stood under a hot shower. I got dressed in clothes I love and slipped on my walking shoes.
I walked — safely — to the nearest mall. Why? Because where I live, there are sidewalks. There are traffic lights. I wasn’t scared someone would attack me or that a bomb might fall from the sky. I arrived safely. These aren’t small things — these are the foundation of peace.
At the supermarket, I did my grocery shopping. I bought three full chickens, got them cut (a complimentary service — what a blessing), stocked up on meat, fruits, and what I needed. I didn’t have to hunt for the cheapest price. I didn’t have to calculate and cut corners. I’m financially comfortable. My card worked. I paid — effortlessly.
Then I went upstairs, stopped at the cozy Starbucks I love, and bought myself a hot venti caramel macchiato. I sat in their peaceful outdoor space, sipped my drink, and looked around. I was still in awe: I’m sitting here, in this beautiful city, enjoying the day. I’m safe. I’m abundant. I’m not surviving — I’m thriving.
And right at that moment, one of my tenants from back home messaged me to let me know she’ll be paying her rent tomorrow. The timing couldn’t have been more divine. It was as if the Universe wanted to whisper, “See? You’re supported. You’re held. You’re provided for.”
I paused and gave thanks — to the One who made all this possible.
Then I booked a Grab (our version of Uber) and accidentally selected the wrong pickup point at the mall. Usually, that means the driver cancels and I get charged a penalty. But not today. The driver actually made the effort to come around and find me — no complaints, no fuss, just kindness. And once again, I smiled.
Because I know this wasn’t luck. It was alignment.
When you are tuned into the energy of gratitude — real, embodied gratitude — things begin to flow. God starts arranging the stars for you. People show up with grace. The world softens.
So, as I begin this new month, I’ve made a decision: August is going to be about basking in the energy of gratitude. Not rushing. Not wishing. Just seeing — in vivid detail — how infinitely blessed I already am.
I invite you to do the same. But don’t just write a list. Walk through your day. Feel the little luxuries. Acknowledge the small comforts. Sit in the awareness of everything that is working in your life.
Because when you start from that place, the rest unfolds naturally. Abundance doesn’t need to be chased. It’s already here — waiting for you to notice it.

“Gratitude isn’t just a feeling — it’s a vibration. And when you’re on that frequency, miracles don’t just happen, they become your norm.”
