En mai, fais ce qu’il te plaît

“In May, do as you please.”
That’s the French proverb I’m carrying into this month — and I mean it fully. May is the season of arrival. The warmth is here, the chaos of January’s ambition has softened into something more graceful, and life finally feels like it can be lived, not just managed.
I’m taking on this vibe intentionally. And you are warmly invited.
The First of the Month Is Sacred to Me
Every month, on the very first day, I do something most people skip: I sit down for my big money date.
I go through my net worth. I review every expense. I ask myself what is still serving me — and what isn’t. This month, I said goodbye to Audible. A seemingly small decision, but I made it significant: the USD 130 I spent there last month? Already reinvested. My mind needed to know it was a done deal.
Then I decide, with intention, how I want the month to unfold.
This practice — this simple, consistent act of looking at my money, my goals, and my direction — aligns perfectly with my Word of the Year: Sovereign.
I feel sovereign when I wake up and review my money goal. When I check my bank accounts and investments. When I look for opportunities to grow my investment group — like last week, when I approached a notary for the first time to register our company officially. The notary is currently working on our investment group operational covenants and restrictive covenants, Use-of-Proceeds Clauses, management & board Rights, Transfer Restrictions (Lock-up) and whatever else he deems necessary.
That is sovereignty. Not perfection. Presence.
May’s Theme in The Reflective Circle: Be Impeccable With Your Word
This month in the community I hold — the Reflective Circle — our journaling theme is drawn straight from Don Miguel Ruiz’s The Four Agreements:
“The first agreement is to be impeccable with your word. It sounds very simple, but it is very, very powerful.”
I’ll be honest with you: I realized I am not mindful about the way I express myself. I don’t always choose my words with purpose. And it is affecting more than I acknowledged — my business relationships, my family dynamics, even how I see the world.
When recurring patterns show up in my life, I have been reacting the same way — because I already carry a verdict about what they mean. That verdict, formed in my own language, closes the door before I can see what’s really there: a lesson, an opportunity, an invitation to grow.
Speak good things to life. Open the doors of heaven.
Throughout May, I’ll be sharing real stories of people who have done exactly that. Until then — begin watching your words. They are not small. They are the power you have to create.
The Tools I Use — And Now Share With You
The practices I described — the monthly money date, the reflection rituals, the identity-building work — these aren’t abstract concepts. I’ve built concrete tools around them, and I’ve made them available for you in my Etsy shop.
📓 Word of the Year Workbook | Life Magazine Creator | Intentional Living Guide
A PDF Digital Download
This is where the inner work becomes tangible. At the beginning of each month, I invite the women I work with to look back, reflect, and ask: How have I lived my word of the year? This workbook holds that process. It’s a goal-setting planner, a reflection guide, and a life design tool — all in one beautifully crafted PDF. If you are building an identity, not just a schedule, this is for you.
💰 Intentional Money Journal | No-Formula Budget Tracker | Financial Mindfulness Spreadsheet
An Excel Spreadsheet Digital Download
This Excel-based tracker is the exact kind of tool I use on my monthly money dates. No intimidating formulas. No financial jargon. Just a clear, thoughtful space to track your spending, log your expenses, and meet your money with presence instead of avoidance. If the idea of a “money date” excites you — this is your starting point.
Your Invitation
May is the month to do as you please. To choose intentionally. To speak with care. To invest in who you are becoming.
If any of what I’ve shared today resonates — the sovereignty, the reflection, the impeccability — then these tools were made for you.🛐 Visit my Etsy shop: TatieStore
